Why Sammie
I spent 12 years in law enforcement and 13 in higher education admissions, including leadership. Those roles taught me to listen carefully, ask better questions, and take the consequences of a decision seriously.
At 47, I moved into B2B tech sales. My background did not look like an obvious fit on paper, so I had to show how my experience applied. I faced a similar task on LinkedIn: making what I knew useful to people who had never worked with me. Sharing there has led to relationships, inbound business conversations, and paid brand partnerships.
That is why I help professionals look closely at what they have done and learned, explain why it matters, and use it in career decisions, sales conversations, and on LinkedIn.
Experience
Three careers. Different settings. Evidence first.
- 12 years
- Law enforcement, including patrol supervisor and executive officer.
- 13 years
- Higher education admissions, including leadership roles such as Campus Director of Admissions.
- At 47
- Transitioned into B2B tech sales. Now a Strategic Account Executive.
- Master's
- degree in Organizational Psychology. It informs how I think about behavior and decision-making.
I’ve made a career move that cut my income roughly in half, and I’ve since closed seven figures in B2B tech deals. Both made me more careful about what I know, what I’m assuming, and what still needs to be answered.
